The primary objectives of the National Road Safety Policy in India are to reduce road traffic accidents, minimize fatalities and injuries resulting from road accidents, and enhance road infrastructure to make it safer and more efficient Road safety outcome is a complex issue involving high number of risk factors and indicators that contributes to road accidents and their severity related to human-vehicle–road interactions.
Trees give off oxygen that we need to breathe. Trees reduce the amount of storm water runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways and may reduce the effects of flooding. Many species of wildlife depend on trees for habitat. Trees provide food, protection, and homes for many birds and mammals.
The key objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission include eliminating open defecation, promoting the construction of toilets, creating awareness about sanitation and hygiene, and ensuring the safe disposal of waste. It aims to create Open Defecation Free (ODF) communities and improve overall sanitation infrastructure.

It is a day that reminds everyone on the plant to get involved in environment friendly activities. Effective drug education is important because young people are faced with many influences to use both licit and illicit drugs. Education can play a counterbalancing role in shaping a normative culture of safety, moderation, and informed decision making. Drug Awareness and Prevention seeks to lessen the demand for illicit street drugs through education and prevention programs.

Camp was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. Mahesha K principal of SKIT along with the doctors and nurses of Red Cross by lightening the lamp. The chief guest delivered the speech about the benefit of donating and appreciating those who wish to donate their blood. One of the doctors also addressed and informed the importance of the blood donation. The members of NSS Volunteer and students from SREIS colleges participated and donated blood. The Blood Donation Camp started at 9.30am and continued till 4:00 pm.. The Chief of YRC and Principal handed over the Certificates to the blood donators. Total 102 units of blood were collected on the event.

View MoreHealth checkup camp was organized on 13/11/2018 by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SKIT in association with KEMPEGOWDA MEDICAL SERVICE TRUST (R), along with NSS and NCC unit, where blood sugar and Blood pressure checkup was done for faculties of all branches.
Inaguration of SKIT NSS unit was done on 31st October 2015. Programme started with lighting the lamp from our beloved principal Dr. Manjunatha. A and was inaugurated by our chief guest of the function Shri Shivaraj, Director Gandhi bhavan, Banglore. Students of all the branches participated and enrolled their names for SKIT NSS unit.
Crime control awareness marathon was conducted by Bangalore city police in association with SKIT NSS unit on 16/12/2018. The said event started from 6 AM and covered 8 Kms. from SKIT to Prabhakar kore convention hall where 150 volunteers participated in this successful event.
Blood donation camp was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with KEMPEGOWDA MEDICAL SERVICE TRUST (R), Indian Red cross along with NSS and NCC unit of SKIT, where blood donation was done by students and faculties off all the branches and made it a huge success. Certificates were distributed for the donors on the same day.
Manohar H S (Mechanical) and Roushan Sha (Civil) has achieved Certificate "C" Examination in "A" grade held in 2017, from 1 KAR Battalion and 8 KAR Battalion respectively under the authority of Ministry of Defence Government of India.
