Overview

The Training and Placement Cell of SKIT is an active centre throbbing with various activities all through the year. The Institution has a complete Infrastructure for effective functioning of the Cell.

Placement Cell is working towards empowering students with various skills to achieve professional and personal excellence. The Cellplays a major role in transforming the students to the expectations of the industry. All the students are informed about the necessity of maintaining good academic scores and are motivated regularly to achieve the same. Training programs and industry related seminars are conducted on regular basis. They are prepared to be individuals with logical and analytical skills.Guest lectures organized by theCell provide ample exposure to student on cutting edge technology and industry practices from technology experts from various MNC’s.SKIT offers excellent infrastructure for conducting on-campus and pooled campus placement activities.

A block with 300+ seating capacity auditorium, 2 Training Rooms, 1 GD room, 4 interview rooms and Control room.
A dedicated computer lab with 250 systems connected in single LAN to conduct on-line assessments and corporate related aptitude tests.
SKIT is recognized by various MNC’s to conduct their recruitment process for fresher’s.

Objectives:

Training Accomplishments

1st & 2nd Semesters – Soft skill and Basic Aptitude.
3rd & 4th Semesters – Soft skill, Verbal and Aptitude.
5th & 6th Semesters – Placement oriented training.
6th & 7th Semesters – Placement focused Aptitude, Technical, Resume Writing, GD, Interview facing skill training (as per the Industry Expectations).
300 HRS of JAVA training for 7th Semester students conducted by Aricent with NASCOM Certifications.
Wave Maker program by Pramathi technologies for 5th & 7th Semester students.
Infosys Campus Connect Program for 6th Semester students.

Activities:

SKIT has tied up with TCS-iON to conduct various on-line assessments for their clients GATE, IBPS, J2EE, AIEEE, LIC, UII, SBI, JIPMER, COMEDK, CMC Vellore, AIIMS, NIMHANS PG Entrance test, All India CAT Examination, SMU examinations, PSU assessments, etc.
• Huawei Club Event –(Coding, Circuit designing, Photograph Contest, etc.)
