Department of Training and Placement

Department of Training & Placement SKIT conducted a webinar on "Campus Hiring patterns & Strategies post- COVID-19" for the 2021 batch of students. The webinar was scheduled on July 3rd 2020. The students were educated about cracking Aptitute tests, English communication and coding. About 110 students attended the webinar.

Department of Training & Placement conducted a webinar series -2 on "Skills expectations by companies" for the pre final year students. The webinar was scheduled on 10th July 2020 11 A.M Students were educated about importance of doing and involving in projects, internships, R&D activities and other skills. There were about 60 students in the webinar. Principal Dr. Manjunatha addressed the students followed by Ms. Rakshitha. V, Management representative addressing and encouraging them to learn the extra skills required.

Department of Training and Placement

Department of Training & Placement arranged a webinar series-3 "Soft Skills" for the 2021 batch students from all branches . The webinar was scheduled on 20th July 2020. 11 A.M . The speakers guided the students to develop all the qualities like personality development, team work, Presentation skills, communication skills, professional skills, time management. About 90 students attended the webinar which was conducted through Cisco Webex platform.

Department of Mechanical Engineering

Department of Mechanical Engineering SKIT conducted quiz on "Thermal Engineering-2020" for all UG & PG students, Staffs of Mechanical, Automobile Engg. branches from 23rd May to 25th May. About 1250 participants from karnataka and outside Karnataka participated the quiz and were awarded with E-Certificates.

Department of Mechanical Engineering SKIT conducted quiz on "Production & Manufacturing" for the UG, PG students, Scholars, faculty from Mech. Engg, production Engg and Automobile Engg. About 1050 participants participated the quiz and were awarded with E-Certificates. The quiz was held on 26th May 2020.

Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted a quiz on "Design Engineering-2020" for the students and staffs. Students of UG & PG, Faculties from Mechanical, Automobile Engg. Streams attended the quiz. About 850 participants participated the quiz and were awarded with E-Certificates. The event was held on 27th May 2020.

Department of Mechanical Engineering

Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with CADMAXX Bangalore arranged a webinar on "Awareness on Industrial application of CAD/CAM/CAE" for final year & pre final year students of SKIT. The students were educated about the opportunity of Mechanical Engineering graduates in the field of modeling, Analysis and Simulation sectors. About 80 students and staffs attended the webinar. Webinar was conducted on 2nd May 2020

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Electrical and Electronics Engineering department of Sri Krishna institute of technology had conducted a Webinar on “Virtual Instrumentation using LabView on 21st July 2020 at 11am. For students and faculties. Mr. Vijay Kumar A, Project Assistant, NAL. Was the keynote speaker Totally 100 participants attended the webinar. At the end of the session there was live Q/A session. Feedback link was shared with the participants and E certificates were issued.

Department of Civil Engineering

Department of Civil Engineering of Sri Krishna Institute of Technology in association with CADD Center, Peenya, Bengaluru organized a webinar entitled “Civil Industry - A New Normal” on May 22nd 2020 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The Speaker for the session was Mr.Santosh Kumar, Business Manager, CADD Center. Mr.Santosh Kumar gave the information and their importance on Auto Cadd Softwares like Revit, 3DS Max, Google Skechup and gave Career guidlines for participants (students). We had 134 attendees for the webinar. All participants participated actively and had a very good interaction at last. The webinar was conducted through Go To Meeting platform.

Department of ISE

Department of ISE conducted workshop on “Android Application Development” . The workshop was conducted in ISE lab on 12/03/2020 & 13/03/2020. Prof. M S Satyanarayana & Prof. Y K Guruprasad were the resource persons. Around 65 students form 6 th and 8 th sem students participated in the workshop.

DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with EEE department of Sri Krishna institute of Technology had conducted a BRAIN CHARGER QUIZ 2020
The event was promoted from 4th of June 2020. The link to the quiz was shared on 5th of June 2020 by 5 pm in the evening. The portal was kept open from 9.00 am of 6th June till 12.00 pm of 7th June. The questions in the quiz were prepared in view of covering all the possible domains of logical reasoning, such as probability, mathematics, verbal, syllogism and so on. The total numbers of responses are 813 out of which 586 participants were awarded with the certificates.

Department of Basic Science

Department of Basic Science of Sri Krishna institute of technology to help PU students prepare well for the CET – 2020 had organised online CET MOCK TEST - 2020 on 17th May, 2020. On students passing the test with minimum of 50% got the E certificate. Around 365 students took the mock test.

Department of Mechanical Engineering had organized 5 days skill development program

Department of Mechanical Engineering had organized 5 days skill development program from  08.11.2019 – 12.11.2019 in association with cadd center Peenya, Bangalore. Students were exposed to various methods of NTD and hands on training was given on crack detection on the metal plates.

Two days workshop on “Robotics and its Aplications Organized by CSE Department”

Two days workshop on Robotics and its applications was conducted on 26th and 27th November 2019 in association with Karunadu Technologies Private Limited Bangalore. Total 74 students participated in the workshop. The workshop was concluded on 27th at 4 P.M by certificate distribution and honoring resource persons.

Department of Information Science and Engineering had conducted Two days workshop on “Robotics and its Aplication” on 5th and 6th September 2019 for Final year students. Morning session was dealt on “Applications of Robotics” by Resource person Mr. Harish N (Chief Technology Officer, Karunadu Technolgy Pvt.Ltd, Bengaluru) and Mr. Mahesh Deginal (Managing Director, Karunadu Technology Pvt.Ltd, Bengaluru). The afternoon session was on hands-on session using Arduino and its Applications, which was efficiently held in our laboratories. A total of 34 students and Faculty members participated in this workshop.

Department of Information Science and Engineering had conducted career guidance program

Department of Information Science and Engineering had conducted career guidance program on 6th September 2019 for 2nd year and 3rd year students. Sessions were conducted by Mr. Kunal, Implementation Engineer, 6D Technlogies. Total of 35 students and Faculty members participated in this career guidance program.

National Instruments Aided Lab view and its applications in core Engineering domains

Department of Electronics and Communication had conducted a Technical Talk on “National Instruments Aided Lab view and its applications in core Engineering domains” on 25th of April 2019 by Virtual Instrumentation Solutions. Mr. Sunil Kumar who has started his career at IISC Bangalore and Implemented many projects at DRDO, spoke about Lab view and its applications core Engineering domains and motivated circuit branch students to take up careers in core companies.

Workshop on Artificial Intelligence

Department of Information Science and Engineering had conducted Two days workshop on “Artificial Intelligence” on 28th and 29th of September 2018 for 2nd and 3rd year students. morning session was dealt on “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Real world” by Resource person Mr. M.S.Satyanarayana(Asst.Prof, Dept of CS&E, SVCE college, Bengaluru).Afternoon session was completely an hands on Session using Eclipse for Python and its applications which was efficiently held in one of our laboratories. A total of 55 students and Faculty members participated in it.

Seminar on Career Guidance

Department of Information Science and Engineering had conducted one day seminar on “JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN ABROAD and AWARENESS ON GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY” on 19th of March 2019 for 3rd year students by Resource person Mr Abhilash, Asst Manager, Princeton Review. Total of 70 students and Faculty members participated in it. A total of 30 student’s members participated in it.

Department of Information Science and Engineering had conducted two days workshop on “Machine Learning” on 28th and 29th of March 2019 for 2nd and 3rd year students. Session was dealt on “machine learning, data mining, and statistical pattern recognition” by Resource person Prof.Gururaj H.S (Dept. of Information Science and Engineering. BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru) and Prof. Karthik S A (Dept. of Information Science and Engineering. One day Workshop on “Introduction to ARM CORTEX M3”

A One day Workshop on “Introduction to ARM CORTEX M3 - Electronics and comunication engineering with hands on session was conducted on April 10, 2018 in the embedded system laboratory, SKIT for students. The programming and the interfacing concepts on the development board and the training boards were demonstrated by Mr. Raghavendra Prasad, Senior Technical Engineer from Advanced Electronic System(ALS), Bangalore.

IOT and its Applications in Real World

The Department of Electronics and communication engineering conducted One day Hands On workshop on “IOT and its Applications in Real world” on 26th of September 2018 for students. Prof. Prakash G from SVCE, Bangalore delivered a talk on “IOT and its Applications in Real world”, followed by hands on session using Arduino. Around 120 students and faculty members participated.

Two days Workshop on MSME Platform - Micro

The Department of Electronics and communication engineering organized Two days workshop on MSME Platform - Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises on 18th and 19th of September 2018. IPQC consulting services sponsored the event. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Mylar Reddy President, Peenya Industrial Association. Around 23 resource persons from various industries delivered talks on various topics and 150 participants from neighboring colleges and Industries attended the event.

Solar Photo Voltaic Modules and Systems

Electronics and communication engineering Dept conducted a technical talk was presented by Mr. Devaraj, Resource person from Sun Matrix Technologies, Bangalore on April 16, 2018 for the students. The presentation was elaborate discussion on the advantages of the photo voltaic cells replacement on the existing system.

Career Guidance

The Department of Information science and engineering organized CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM on 21st April, 2018 for the students. Mr. Mohammed Nawaz, Technical Lead, PHILIPS, Bangalore addressed the gathering on how to enhance their skills and to get success in their life. Around 60 students attended the program.

The Department of Information science and engineering organized a seminar on “Recent Trends on Information Technology”, on 21st April, 2018 for the students. The speaker was Mr. Kunal, Marketing Head, Bangalore. He addressed the gathering about recent trends in Information Technology.

Tips to Crack the Campus Programming Interview

The Department of Information Science and Engineering organized One Day Workshop on “TIPS TO CRACK THE CAMPUS PROGRAMMING INTERVIEW”, on 21st April 2018 for the students of 4th and 6th semester of Information Science branch. The speaker was Mr. Anil Kumar H, Technical Consultant, BOSCH, Bangalore. He addressed the gathering on how to enhance their skills and to get success in their life. No of Students participants: 35.

Vaastu - 18

Department of Civil Engineering organized a National level Technical fest Vaastu - 18 on May 18th of 2018. Dr B Shivalingaiah, Ph.D(Canada), former chairman, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board and Dr G L Eswaraprasad, Principal MIT Mangalore were invited as Chief Guests and addressed the gathering about the scope and advancement in the field of Civil Engineering. A technical talk was presented by Dr. B. Shivalingaiah on “Impact of Global warming on Environment”.

Around 100 participants from all over Karnataka took part in the event and won a total cash prize of Rs.35000. The various events held at Vaastu-18 are Paper presentation, Technico questionario, Rapidocadd, Pontemmodelare, Survekshan, Nagarasutrana. Each event was organized by student coordinators and supervised by faculty coordinators.

Technical Talk - 18

The department organized a technical talk on “New trends in Civil Engineering” on 15th of November 2018. Dr. C.Sadashivaiah Professor and HOD, Department of Civil Engineering, HMS Institute of Technology, Tumkur , was invited as speaker for the talk. The presentation embraced the new innovations in the field of Civil Engineering to overcome the difficulties facing at the construction site.
