The Research & Development Center of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sri Krishna Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, was established in 2023 with the vision of promoting advanced research, innovation, and industry collaboration. The center is headed by Dr. Sachidananda K. B., Associate Professor and Head of the Research Center, who leads various academic and research initiatives. The major research domains of the center include Metal Matrix Composites (MMC), Polymer Matrix Composites (PMC), and Heat Transfer. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the R&D Center supports comprehensive testing and analysis of mechanical and tribological properties of metals and composite materials, thereby enabling high-quality research, consultancy, and collaborative projects with industry and academic institutions.
