Proctorial System

The Proctoring System at SKIT is a structured mentoring framework designed to ensure continuous academic monitoring, discipline, and holistic development of students. Regular and Structured Meetings Proctor meetings are conducted weekly in a systematic manner:

  • The Chief Proctor shares the agenda with the Department Chief Proctors (DCPs).

  • DCPs circulate the agenda to all proctors.

  • Proctors conduct meetings with their assigned proctees based on the agenda.

The discussions focus on attendance, punctuality, discipline, academic performance, examination readiness, placement activities, participation in technical and cultural events, and compliance with institutional norms (ID card, dress code, etc.).

Proctor Diary – A Monitoring Tool

After every meeting, proctors record the discussion points and update individual student details in the Proctor Diary.

This diary serves as:

  • A continuous record of student progress

  • A monitoring tool for attendance and performance

  • A reference for identifying students needing support

  • A documented mentoring record for quality assurance

Regular documentation ensures early intervention and systematic follow-up.

Parent Interaction and Support

Proctors maintain regular communication with parents by contacting them at least three times during the academic cycle introducing themselves, sharing important updates, and discussing results. Parent meetings are also conducted regularly

Any academic, behavioral, or personal concern of a student is first addressed by the proctor, ensuring personalized guidance and timely resolution.
