She was awarded the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, under the Research Fellowship in Science for Meritorious Students (RFSMS) scheme for her Ph.D. research tenure. She was also honored with the Prof. N. R. Tawade Gold Medal for securing first position in M.Sc. Physics in 2006 and the Prof. S. R. Thontadarya Gold Medal for securing first position in M.Sc. Physics (Nuclear Physics specialization) in 2006, both awarded by Karnatak University, Dharwad.
