On 25 April 2026, the Sri Krishna Institute of Technology campus came alive with familiar faces, old jokes, and a generation of memories. The Silver Jubilee Alumni Meet, hosted by the SKIT Alumni Association, marked 25 years of the institute and pulled in graduates from every batch since inception, all the way through to the 2025 pass-outs.
The day was built around the things alumni actually missed. Cricket and volleyball pitches were set up for the men, throwball for the women, and a competitive streak that hadn't faded in two decades took over the grounds. Indoors, a retro gaming zone with Super Mario, NFS, and other classics turned into one of the most crowded corners of campus, complete with arguments over high scores. The auditorium hosted a screening of Kirik Party, a film that, for many in the room, felt like watching their own college years on screen.
The Principal addressed the gathering, walking alumni through SKIT's recent activities, milestones, and the direction the institute is heading in. Alumni then broke off into smaller circles with their respective Heads of Departments, faculty members they remembered by first name, and the Placement Head, sharing where their careers had taken them and exchanging notes on how the campus had evolved.
From the founding batch to the most recent graduates, the turnout made it clear that SKIT is more than an alma mater. It's a network that holds. The Silver Jubilee was not just a milestone for the institute. It was a homecoming.
