National Science Day at SKIT Bangalore was a five-day celebration from 23rd to 27th March 2026, marking the importance of science in everyday life and encouraging scientific curiosity among students.

The event was led by chief guest Mrs. K Kalyani, Scientist 'SG' at the Laboratory for Electro-Optics Systems (LEOS), ISRO, who shared her experience working on India's space programmes. Through her interactions with students, she highlighted how scientific research drives innovation and national progress.

Across the five days, the Department of Science & Humanities organised showcases, talks, and student-led demonstrations covering recent developments in science and technology. The event provided a platform for SKIT students to engage with scientific thinking, see real applications of research, and meet a leading scientist working in space technology.
