The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at SKIT Bangalore organised an alumni talk on 27th February 2026, focused on the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence.

The session, titled "AI vs Generative AI vs Agentic AI: Choosing the Right Intelligence," was delivered by Mr. Shreyas Karnick, an SKIT alumnus from the 2014 batch. Mr. Karnick currently works as an Engineering Services Specialist at Accenture and brought industry context to the rapidly shifting field of AI.

The talk was attended by sixth-semester ECE students. Through the session, students gained an understanding of how systems that simulate human intelligence can be applied across automation, content creation, drafting, and analysis. Mr. Karnick also shared practical insights on building employability through technical depth, networking, and confidence in industry interactions.

The alumni talk reflects SKIT's continued effort to bridge classroom learning with industry trends through alumni connect programmes.
