Build for Bengaluru 2026 is a 24-hour offline hackathon organized by Sri Krishna Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. Held on 13–14 March 2026, the event brought together passionate innovators to develop technology-driven solutions that address real-world urban challenges. The hackathon witnessed an impressive participation of 104 teams from various colleges, creating an energetic environment of collaboration, creativity, and innovation.

The event provided a platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students from different disciplines to showcase their problem-solving abilities. Teams consisting of 2 to 4 members worked intensively for 24 hours to build functional prototypes and present their ideas. Participants explored multiple innovation themes including Green Tech & Sustainability, Healthcare & Well-Being, Agri-Tech & Food, and Civic Tech & Governance. Using technologies such as web development, mobile applications, artificial intelligence, IoT, and embedded systems, teams developed solutions aimed at improving sustainability, healthcare accessibility, agriculture systems, and public services.

Throughout the hackathon, participants experienced different development phases including idea validation, mentoring sessions with industry experts, and continuous development sprints. Mentors guided teams in refining their ideas and transforming them into practical solutions. Projects were evaluated based on innovation, feasibility, technical implementation, and presentation quality.

The competition concluded with several outstanding teams being recognized for their innovative solutions. Team Opalite from M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology and RV College of Engineering secured the Winner position and ₹30,000 prize. The First Runner-Up, Team DIRAX from REVA University, received ₹20,000, while Team Hack Punch from BMS Institute of Technology and Management won the Second Runner-Up prize of ₹10,000. Special awards for Best Idea were presented to Team Omnipotence from Sri Sairam College of Engineering and Team TerraForce from REVA University.
