Functions
Formulate and implement research policies, guidelines, and ethical standards for the institution.
Identify funding opportunities and assist faculty in proposal writing, submission, and project management.
Organize workshops, seminars, FDPs, and training programmes on research methodology, publishing, and intellectual property rights.
Establish collaborations and MoUs with industries, research centers, and universities to strengthen research outcomes.
Monitor and evaluate research productivity, including publications, citations, patents, and funded projects.
Provide guidance for patent filing, copyrights, and incubation of innovative ideas.
Facilitate consultancy projects and industry-sponsored research to enhance practical impact and revenue generation.
Create a platform for knowledge dissemination through conferences, journals, and technical events.
Encourage faculty and students to undertake societal and need-based research addressing real-world challenges.
Maintain a centralized database of research activities and coordinate with IQAC for quality assurance and accreditation metrics.
