Functions
Policy Implementation
Enforce the Student Code of Conduct.
Communicate rules through handbooks, orientation programs, and notices.
Monitoring Student Behavior
Identify and address incidents of indiscipline on campus.
Coordinate with departments, wardens, and security personnel for vigilance.
Inquiry and Case Handling
Investigate reported cases promptly and confidentially.
Provide students an opportunity to be heard before recommending action.
Recommend Corrective Actions
Suggest appropriate disciplinary measures such as warnings, counseling, community service, suspension, or other actions as per institutional policy.
Coordination with Institutional Committees
Work closely with the Anti-Ragging Committee, Examination Cell, Hostel Committee, and Student Welfare bodies when required.
Maintain Documentation
Record incidents, inquiries, and actions taken.
Prepare periodic reports for the administration and IQAC.
Parent/Guardian Communication
Inform parents/guardians in serious cases and involve them in corrective processes when necessary.
Review and Continuous Improvement
Periodically review disciplinary policies and recommend updates to address emerging challenges.
