Objectives
  • Maintain Campus Discipline
    Promote orderly conduct and ensure adherence to institutional rules and regulations.

  • Create a Safe and Respectful Environment
    Foster a culture of mutual respect, professionalism, and responsible behavior among students.

  • Prevent Misconduct and Indiscipline
    Proactively address issues such as ragging, harassment, violence, substance abuse, and academic malpractice.

  • Promote Ethical Behavior
    Encourage integrity, accountability, and respect for institutional property and community values.

  • Ensure Fair and Impartial Action
    Establish transparent procedures to address disciplinary cases while upholding natural justice.

  • Strengthen Institutional ReputationUphold standards of conduct that reflect positively on the institution.

Functions
  • Policy Implementation

    1. Enforce the Student Code of Conduct.

    2. Communicate rules through handbooks, orientation programs, and notices.

  • Monitoring Student Behavior

    1. Identify and address incidents of indiscipline on campus.

    2. Coordinate with departments, wardens, and security personnel for vigilance.

  • Inquiry and Case Handling

    1. Investigate reported cases promptly and confidentially.

    2. Provide students an opportunity to be heard before recommending action.

  • Recommend Corrective Actions

    1. Suggest appropriate disciplinary measures such as warnings, counseling, community service, suspension, or other actions as per institutional policy.

  • Coordination with Institutional Committees

    1. Work closely with the Anti-Ragging Committee, Examination Cell, Hostel Committee, and Student Welfare bodies when required.

  • Maintain Documentation

    1. Record incidents, inquiries, and actions taken.

    2. Prepare periodic reports for the administration and IQAC.

  • Parent/Guardian Communication

    1. Inform parents/guardians in serious cases and involve them in corrective processes when necessary.

  • Review and Continuous Improvement

    1. Periodically review disciplinary policies and recommend updates to address emerging challenges.
