Objectives
  • To cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among students and faculty by encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • To assist students in identifying appropriate career pathways aligned with their interests, strengths, and academic background.

  • To create awareness about higher education opportunities in India and abroad, including postgraduate programmes, research avenues, and interdisciplinary studies.

  • To guide students in preparing for competitive examinations such as GATE, GRE, TOEFL, CAT, UPSC, and other professional certification pathways.

  • To promote informed career decision-making through structured counselling and academic mentoring.

  • To encourage students to explore diverse career options including research, public sector careers, entrepreneurship, and emerging technology domains.

  • To support holistic student development by fostering clarity in career goals and lifelong learning orientation.

  • To provide inclusive guidance support for students from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds to ensure equitable access to career opportunities.

  • To align career awareness initiatives with institutional academic goals and evolving global education trends.

Functions
  • Organize career awareness programmes, seminars, and expert talks focusing on higher education, research opportunities, and alternative career pathways.

  • Conduct career counselling sessions to help students evaluate their aptitude, interests, and long-term professional goals.

  • Provide guidance on admission processes, entrance examinations, scholarships, and fellowship opportunities for advanced studies.

  • Facilitate interactions with academicians, researchers, alumni, and professionals to broaden students’ career perspectives.

  • Maintain and regularly update a repository of information on higher education institutions, competitive exams, scholarships, and career resources.

  • Identify students requiring personalized career guidance and provide mentoring support where necessary.

  • Collaborate with departments and academic bodies to integrate career awareness activities into the learning environment.

  • Track student progression to higher education, research roles, and other professional pursuits for institutional quality enhancement.

  • Document initiatives and outcomes in coordination with IQAC to support accreditation and continuous improvement processes.
