1. Department of Electronics and communication had organized a two days event to Building relation between institute and industry for improving global competitiveness of SMEs through partnership with industry and institutions on 18th and 19th of September 2018. Event was sponsored by IPQC consulting services. Event was inaugurated by Mr. Mylar Reddy President, Peenya industrial association. 23 resource persons from various industries delivered talks on various topics related to the event. A total of 150 participants including neighboring colleges attended the event.
2. Department of Electronics and Communication had conducted a one day Hands on workshop on “IOT and its Applications in Real world” on 26th of September 2018 for 2nd and 3rd year students. The morning session was a talk on “IOT and its Applications in Real world” by a resource person Mr Prakash G (Asst Professsor , Dept of CS&E , SVCE college Bengaluru).Afternoon session was a hands on Session using Arduino for IOT and its applications which was efficiently held in one of our laboratories. A total 120 students and Faculty members participated in it
Sri Krishna Institute of Technology, Bangalore conducted a two week induction program for the First year students of BE degree course on 20 August, 2018 to 1 September, 2018.
The Program started with an introductory address to both parents and students by Bramhakumari Roopa, Chief guest of the program and Dr. Manjunatha A, Principal, SKIT. The aim of the program was to give the students, joining the college, a bird’s eye view about various dimensions of Engineering and the career opportunities for the students and to acquaint them with the systems and procedures of the college. The program was designed to give proper orientation to the new students about the course and future prospects and the methodology of learning to be adopted to be successful in life. The program makes them feel comfortable, sensitize them towards exploring their academic interests and activities, reducing competition and making them work for excellence, promote bonding within them, build good rapport between teachers and students, give a broader view of life, and building of character. The Universal Human Values component, which acts as an anchor, develops awareness and sensitivity, feeling of equality, compassion and oneness, draw attention to society and nature, and character to follow through. It also makes them reflect on their relationship with their families and extended family in the college. It also connects students with each other and with teachers so that they can share any difficulty they might be facing and seek help. Expert talks were from both internal and external resources. Following topics were covered in the induction program: motivation, communication, time management, stress management, crisis management, Entrepreneurship, NSS and Yoga. An educational movie was also shown as the part of induction program. The sessions were very well received by the students.
